About Me

I am Yanru Guan, an undergraduate student in the Turing Class at Peking University (EECS’27), currently studying as an exchange student at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science for Spring 2026.

My interests lie in the design and analysis of algorithmic systems that involving incentives, information asymmetry, and strategic behavior. I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Xiaotie Deng at Peking University. My research to date has primarily focused on auction theory, specifically mechanism design and the design and analysis of auto-bidding algorithms.

I have served as a Teaching Assistant for various courses at both Carnegie Mellon University and Peking University, honored to work alongside Profs Yang Liu, Richard Peng and Shaofeng Jiang.

In addition to research, I have been actively involved in competitive programming for over a decade. I achieved 5th place at the ICPC World Finals 2025 and was awarded a Gold Medal and the Best Female Player distinction at the National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) 2022.

Here is my CV.
